Nursery Teacher Position

The Governors of Archbishop Runcie Church of England First School wish to appoint a Class Teacher for Nursery, (full NQT support can be provided if appropriate).fixed-term, for two terms, from January 1st 2019 – August 31st 2019.

It is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our Early Years team who will further advance our nursery provision. It will be an opportunity to play a full part in the further development of our school vision for all our children to become confident, secure, caring individuals who flourish through our creative and inspirational curriculum.

We are a caring and welcoming church school with happy, well behaved, and highly motivated children. We have high expectations of ourselves and the children. Parents are highly supportive of the school. The school is being supported by Newcastle East mixed multi Academy Trust and Walkergate Teaching School. This post is suitable for either experienced or newly qualified teachers.

The successful candidate will:

There is an opportunity to visit our school prior to interview at 4p.m at Tuesday 5th June.

The application process will involve an observation and an interview. We will conduct teaching observations at Walkergate Community Primary School on Monday 3rd December at 2:00pm.

Application forms are available on the school website and returnable to Mrs K Massey by 9:00am on Tuesday 11th December 2018 or earlier (hard copies please). Applications will be considered as they are received.

Due to the proximity of the end of the term, this vacancy may close earlier, if a suitable candidate is received.

Shortlisted applicants will be required for the full day on Wednesday 12th December and interviews will be held on Thursday 13th December. The successful applicant will need to work (paid) during the last week of term to ensure a comprehensive and nurturing handover of responsibilities.
